"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people" - the Apostle Paul in Galatians 6:7 (NAS)
The Bible says that Jesus went about "went about doing good (Acts 10:38)." Additionally, Paul writes in Galatians 6:7 that we should "do good to all people." Because God sent His son, Jesus, to die for our sins and because we are trying to also show that same love for our fellow man, we have a benevolence program in place. This program tries to help with the necessities of life. As the apostle Paul states in 1Timothy 6:8 - "If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content." Our benevolence program then consists of helping those with true need for food or clothing.
We do NOT give money to people. We only provide food and/or clothing.
